An Introduction

The purpose of this unique website is to provide teachers and parents ways to use children's and adolescent literature with students, especially those in elementary school. After retiring recently from education, I still wanted to work with teaching and learning, only on my terms. I decided to combine my love of reading, teaching and books to create this website.

It has been my experience that educators are overwhelmed with the business of teaching. I have found that many times teachers continue using the same curricular approaches out of necessity because of time constraints, their own family commitments, and, quite frankly, exhaustion.
